More and more people that I know and love are starting to stay home on New Year’s Eve. I remember a couple of good times on New Year’s Eve when I used to go bar hopping and was used to staying up and partying the night away, but those days are long gone. You couldn’t pay me enough money to venture out with all the drunks out there that are too stupid to realize what a bad decision that could turn out to be. Not to mention all of the police that will are always on high alert and don’t think twice about pulling somebody over and finding anything that they can to write you up on. I haven’t gotten a ticket in well over a decade and I would hate to ruin that record that I’m so proud of and get good insurance rates because of it being so good.
New Year’s Eve to me is just another night. Another year will be gone and the new year will be just like all the others. The economy doesn’t look like it will be improving any time soon and more people are suffering, lives being ruined. The rich getting richer and the poor getting poorer. Oh Happy New Year!
